| http://www.klartale.no/kultur/morten-harket-ser-seg-ikke-tilbake/traduc Disappointing Yet exciting. "Out Of My Hands" - his first since 2008. It begins with a version of Espen Lind's big 2008 hit "Scared Of Heights", which, however, lacks the original's charm. The catchy first single "Lightning" has Harket-written with singer Jocke Berg and bassist Martin Sköld from the Swedish band Kent. The song sounds like a mixture of Kent and slow a-ha. He also makes an ok version of the Kent-hit "Kärlekens gloves" (2002), as in the English language called "Burn Money Burn." And on the atmospheric ballad "Listening" he has received songwriting assistance of Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe of Pet Shop Boys. But it is not particularly marked by the duo's usual sound. The album was produced by Steve Osborne, who was also a producer on a-ha's farewell single, "Butterfly, Butterfly (The Last Hurrah)." Among the few highlights are mentioned "Lightning" and "Listening" and the ballad "Quiet." The best song is, "When I Reached The Moon," which is heavy synth comp, tough electric guitar, great chorus and Harket's trademark - falsetto. "Out Of My Hands" is a very exciting album with a number of mediocre songs, and it is weak of Morten Harket to bring new versions of two relatively recent hits. He sings as usual, very good, but should break new ground on the next record if he wants to move away from a-ha. | |

| j'ai ps le lien direct mais jakob l'a mis sur son site ..... http://a-ha-live.com/"Of the songs on the album, he describes “Quiet” and the title track “Out Of My Hands” as “classic, complete ‘me-songs’ “. He says the following about the latter song: “There’s a lot of me in it. It’s a purely spiritual song, about where we come from and belong, and it makes quite a firm statement about the real nature of life – beyond the reality we experience" j'adore | |

| un petit récap vite fait :
"Morten’s new solo album Out Of My Hands is released in Norway, Germany and seven other European countries today (see release schedule on mortenharket.com). As expected, the album is getting a lukewarm reception from Norwegian music critics. Here are some samples of the reviews that have been published so far: Dagbladet (3 out of 6): “Harket is a formidable pop singer with an ability to single-handedly lift the quality of even the most clichéd, commercial songs. He’s not necessarily dependent on the sophisticated and demanding songs that Paul Waaktaar-Savoy and Magne Furuholmen traditionally have written specifically for his register in a-ha. But unfortunately Out Of My Hands turns out to be a lazy and unsubstantial addition to Harket’s five-album solo discography. Safe and solid. Catchy at times, but unimaginative. And strikingly predictable.” Dagsavisen (3 out of 6): “I have to admit that both Pet Shop Boys and Steve Osborne are among my favorites, along with Kent as well. Therefore it’s sad that Out Of My Hands isn’t characterized by good songs and an overall creative energy. (…) In contrast to a-ha, the tempo is quick and almost all the songs have a 1999-feeling. Which means modulated synths and echoed drums, plus a lot of broken chords, designed for radio. Understandably so, as Osborne has made this sound his trademark, and used it successfully a number of times. But in order to create something special, some rougher elements should have been added. Something to contrast the very nice and clean production, and Morten Harket’s constantly high-pitched voice.” Bergensavisen (3 out of 6): “Ever since Poetenes Evangelium (1993), the solo projects of the a-ha members have been noticeably different from their main band – with varying degrees of success. But Harket is now leaning much closer to the a-ha sound. His last solo offering Letter From Egypt (2008) could barely be considered a footnote, and the fact that he’s now chosen a more synth-based sound is understandable. (…) But Out Of My Hands lacks the essence of what a-ha (after the 2000-comeback) were always chasing, but only sporadically succeeded in doing; triggering the three persistent and twisted pop musicians’ goal of remaining vital long after their most successfull period (both creatively and commercially).” Adresseavisen (3 out of 6): “Any warmth and sincerity is lacking on Out Of My Hands. (…) Harket’s sensitive vocals are almost drowned out by the synth arrangements. By all means; the arrangements are good and the production is flawless, but that’s exactly what makes it all so boring.” Drammens Tidende (3 out of 6): “Out Of My Hands is an unexciting album with a number of mediocre songs, and Harket disappoints by including new versions of two fairly recent hits. As usual, his vocal performance is very good, but he should try a different approach on his next album if he wants to distance himself from a-ha.” VG (3 out of 6): “You could say it’s a problem that the best song on this album is an English version of a ten year old Kent-song.” Gaffa.no (2 out of 6): “It seemed promising when Pet Shop Boys and Kent joined in on the project, but when everything that has come out of this collaboration is so boring that it could give you a rash, it doesn’t help much. (…) We’ll just have to be relieved that this isn’t a-ha’s name being defiled – it’s not easy to understand what Harket’s intentions are this time.” Puls.no: “This may be the pop-album I’ve had the highest expectations to, this spring. Which makes for an even bigger disappointment. (…) There is no direction in this product, nor in the production. Some synthpop, some middle of the road-pop. Weak or mediocre songs. In sum; a mediocre environment that doesn’t suit Morten Harket at all. Because he can be world’s greatest, when he just puts his mind to"

| [quote="sneakythesnake"]Norwegian article in Aftenposten http://www.aftenposten.no/kultur/musikk/Mann-uten-band-6804302.htmltranslation from Google translate For four days, it was. What German cities he has visited? I do not know, he replies. The names of radio stations he has spoken to? I do not remember. All Morten Harket know is that it has been exhausting. As to be hired around with a chain around his neck, he says the promotional work. Now there is only one picture left to take. The tabloid Bild that should have it. So it is over. Then he can go to a home where nobody asks him if he fell out with Paul and Magne or what he feels when he sings "Take on me". But in the botanical garden in Hamburg, Morten Harket locked. - I will not pose as a monkey in a fake jungle. I did things like this in the 1980s, not now. It does not look natural, he says to the photographer, and scowl on the collection of close-growing plants will use the newspaper as a backdrop. - I hate this. It makes me feel ten years older in the heart, says Harket before he goes on an intermediate solution: He can go past the plants, do not stand still and not look in the camera. - Can you smile? asks the photographer. - Take the picture. - Smile, then. - Ask me not to smile. I am not your singing and dance man, devouring Morten Harket. None of that name Hamburg, 18 hours earlier: Harket's manager Harald Wiik has reported: Show up at the Hyatt Hotel at 21:30. Ask the reception room to call 425 Where does he live. Contact me if problems arise. At Hyatt goats guests into a reception size of a handball court. In the end there are three women behind the three disks. One is free. - Can you call room 425, please. - Who will you talk to? - Morten Harket. The receptionist looks at the screen. When she looks up, she reminds of a bank clerk in front of a customer without funds in the account. - There should not by that name there, she says. It's time to call the manager. - He entered in a different name. But you must promise not to reveal the pseudonym, said Wiik. The name is so special that the receptionist starts to laugh. - Very good, she says, and rings. - Mmhmm, answer one of the most recognizable voices popens. Strange playing a-ha Morten Harket get into the hotel's fireside lounge in leather jacket, a shirt that is open to far down on the chest and jeans it looks like a lion band has been playing with. That's one reason why he's here. He will sell records. The new name is Out of my hands, the ten songs to mark the 52-year-old's final break with a-ha about the nature of a solo career that will last a long time. Yesterday plate. Before that: reviews. "Great sounding and some småfine pop songs, but never anything more," wrote Times (cube 3). "It's an ever so slight problem that the strongest song here is an English translation of a ten-year-old Kent-song," reported VG (3). "The album's biggest advantages is the absence of any småsutrete melancholy," said Aftenposten (4). Harket has not had much time to read. Monday in two days concert starts his tour in Krasnoyarsk - Siberia of all places. In ten nights he will have seven shows in Russia and Belarus. After the trip to the east, waiting Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, France and England. When summer is over: Oslo, Brazil, Argentina and Chile. This is land, a-ha has been very strong in. But what about Morten Harket - alone? All he is, he is due to a-ha. All the journalists who have booked time with him at the launch] | |

"Voice of a legend
One of the most romantic voices of the world, the former lead singer of «A-ha» a single concert performance in Krasnoyarsk. As a famous musician, refers to his Russian colleagues and see what is the secret of eternal youth?
Over the shoulders of many hours of flight, on the face of any trace of tiredness and a dazzling smile. Morten Harket - former lead singer of the legendary group "A-ha» - arrived in Krasnoyarsk directly from Oslo. Recognized: the first tour brought him so far.
Morten Harket, singer, former lead singer of «A-ha»: «Good feel, not cold. The first concert, a very interesting start. "
53-year-old Morten Harket - studious family man and father of five children. He prefers to get up early and stay up late: in this and in his work sees the secret of youth. He says he does not like to talk about personal, buttoning the top button on his shirt, and think of the group «A-ha», which gave 18 years of his life.
Morten Harket, singer, former lead singer of «A-ha»: «You can expect me. We are now in a transition period, we can hear the music of «A - ha». And what I now think it's a novelty for the people. "
One of the most famous voices of Norway can not think of a single Russian singer and music reviews from a technical point of view. However, the most important to him is the semantic load of text. And in order that the word is really hooked, you must apply to the texts, as a beloved child.
Morten Harket, singer, former lead singer of «A-ha»: «For me, the soul is important in music lyrics. I do not single out for themselves some specific artists, because I see the music inside: when and how it is created. "
Morten Harket's tour of Russia begins with Krasnoyarsk. Even today, after the concert, he will leave. It is true, has not yet decided which city. Staying in our short time even does not want. He says the main thing for him - not to see the sights or type suitcases full of souvenirs and meet good people. Written Zahar, Paul Ivanitsky" | |
